Range: West Central Pacific Ocean: Philippines to Line Islands, north to southern Japan, south to northwestern Australia and New South Wales
Size: Up to 5 inches (12 cm)
Natural Environment: Found above lagoon areas containing sand and rubble and live in pairs, sometimes in association with the alpheid shrimp Amblyeleotris
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and their natural diet consists mainly of zooplankton. Not often seen in the trade - shown here for identification purpose only.
