Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and East Africa to Tuamotu, Marquesas, and Line Islands, north to the Ryukyu and Bonin Islands, south to New Caledonia and Tonga, throughout Micronesia and the Hawaiian Islands
Size: Up to 5.5 inches (14 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit reef flats and lagoon reefs
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Natural diet consists mostly of algae, yet feeds on some sponges. Not normally found in the aquarium trade - shown here for identification purpose only. Can make a clicking noise when approached.
