Species Name: Pomacentrus vaiuli Jordan & Seale, 1906
Range: Eastern Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean including western Australia, Great Barrier Reef to Samoa, Marshall Islands and southern Japan
Size: Up to 3.5 inches (9 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons and outer reef slopes in mixed coral and rubble zones between depths of 10 - 100 feet (3 - 33 m)
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Feeds on filamentous algae and benthic invertebrates. Requires a meaty diet with some algae with two or three feedings per day. Generally very territorial and it is recommended they not be added to community aquariums until after all the more peaceful fishes have been placed into the system.
