Species Name: Pomacentrus pavo Bloch, 1787
Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to the Marshall and Gilbert Islands, and northern Australia to Taiwan
Size: Up to 4 inches (10 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit sandy patches around coral reefs at depths up to 30 feet (10 m)
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Feeds on zooplankton and filamentous algae. Requires a meaty diet with some algae with two or three feedings per day. Generally very territorial and it is recommended they not be added to community aquariums until after all the more peaceful fishes have been placed into the system.
