Species Name: Pomacentrus moluccensis Bleeker, 1853
Range: Eastern Indian Ocean and western Pacific including the Indo-Australian Archipelago, Taiwan, Ryukyu Islands, and Palau
Size: Up to 3 inches (7 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits coral in lagoon and outer reef areas between depths of 3 - 30 feet (1 - 10 m).
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Feeds mainly on algae and some zooplankton. Requires a meaty diet with some algae with two or three feedings per day. Generally very territorial and it is recommended they not be added to community aquariums until after all the more peaceful fishes have been placed into the system.
