Common Name: Neon Damselfish
Species Name: Pomacentrus coelestis (Jordan & Starks, 1901)
Range: Widespread in the eastern Indian Ocean and western Pacific including Sri Lanka, Andaman Sea and the Indo-Australian Archipelago
Size: Up to 3.5 inches (9 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit outer reef and rubble areas that are subjected to wave action and strong currents at depths between 3 to 30 feet (1 - 10 m)
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Feeds on zooplankton. Requires a meaty diet with some algae with two or three feedings per day. Generally very territorial and it is recommended they not be added to community aquariums until after all the more peaceful fishes have been placed into the system.
