Species Name: Neoglyphidodon oxyodon Bleeker, 1857 - 58


Range: Throughout the Indo-Australian Archipelago including Indonesia, and the Philippines


Size: Up to 6 inches (15 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit protected reef flats and inshore reef areas at depths between 3 to 15 feet (1 - 5 m)


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Has a natural diet of benthic invertebrate, zooplankton, and some algae. Requires a meaty diet with some algae with two or three feedings per day. Colorful when juveniles and fairly well tempered, however they loose their nice colors and turn mostly brown and evil-tempered as they get older.
