Species Name: Neoglyphidodon crossi Allen 1975


Range: Indo-Malayan Archipelago, mainly the Sulawesi and Molucca Islands


Size: Up to 5 inches (12.5 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow channels of rocky areas and coral reefs of protected bays and lagoons at depths between 6 to 30 feet (2 - 10 m).


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Has a natural diet of benthic invertebrate, zooplankton, and some algae. Requires a meaty diet with some algae with two or three feedings per day. Solitary and shy when young, however, gets very bold with age. Loose their nice juvenile colors and turn mostly brown and evil-tempered as they get older.
