Species Name: Chrysiptera parasema (Fowler, 1918)
Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Solomon Islands, northern New Guinea, Philippines, and Ryukyu Islands
Size: Up to 2.5 inches (6 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons and inshore coral reefs at depths between 3 to 20 feet (1 - 6 m) and feeds on zooplankton
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Natural diet consists mainly of zooplankton. Requires a meaty diet with some algae with two or three feedings per day. One of the more popular and hardy damselfish and will not harm invertebrate. Will feed upon filamentous algae.
