Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: southern Florida and the Caribbean; Eastern Atlantic Ocean: Cape Verde and from Senegal to Angola
Size: Up to 10 inches (25 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit coral and rocky reefs having good algae growths
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 70 - 79°F (21 - 26°C). Natural diet consists mostly of algae. Probably the same disposition as other sergeant majors and can be quite aggressive. Not normally found in the aquarium trade - shown here for identification purpose only.
