Species Name: Apogon griffini (Seale, 1910)


Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Philippines and northern Borneo


Size: Up to 6 inches (15 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit shallow coastal reefs


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 83°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists mainly of crustaceans and small fish. Will accept a wide variety of meaty foodstuffs and should have vitamin enriched foods with at least two feeding per day. Their diet should contain a color enhancer, such as Spirulina. Prefers a dimly lit environment with caves. One per aquarium unless a pair. Rarely seen in the trade.
