Range: Eastern Pacific Ocean: Gulf of California to Panama and the Galapagos Islands
Size: Up to 8 inches (20 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit coastal reefs and inner reef areas at a depth of 10 to 130 feet (3 - 40 m)
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 66 - 74°F (20 - 23°C) and natural diet consists of algae, gastropods, and small crustaceans. Easily maintained in a cooler water aquarium and will accept a wide variety of foodstuffs. However, rarely seen in the trade.
