Species Name: Chaetodon tinkeri Schultz, 1951


Range: Marshall, Cook, Johnson and Hawaiian Islands


Size: up to 6.5 inches (16 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit deep water, usually deeper than 150 feet (45 m)


General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 70 - 76°F (21 - 24°C) and natural diet consists of plankton, worms, clams, and crustaceans. Requires an enriched variety of meaty frozen foods with numerous feedings per day. Provide sufficient rock/cave areas and coral rubble and sufficient swimming space, as it's a bold swimmer. Best maintained in a dimly lit aquarium. Rarely available, and if so, a little pricey.
