Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Caribbean, Florida, and Gulf of Mexico
Size: up to 6.5 inches (16 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit patch reef areas, fore-reef crests, and fore-reef slopes at a depth of 10 to 170 feet (3 - 50 m)
General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 70 - 79°F (21 - 26°C) and natural diet consists of live corals, worms, clams, and crustaceans. Requires an enriched variety of meaty frozen foods with numerous feedings per day. Provide sufficient rock/cave areas and coral rubble along with sufficient swimming space, as it's a bold swimmer. Is quite hardy and long-lived in the aquarium.
