Species Name: Chaetodon reticulatus Cuvier, 1831


Range: Central and western Pacific Ocean


Size: up to 6 inches (15 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabits rich coral growth reefs at a depth of 3 to 100 feet (1 - 30 m)


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 74 - 82°F (23 - 28°C) and natural diet consists mainly of coral polyps and benthic invertebrates. Requires a variety of meaty frozen foods with numerous feedings per day. Provide caves and much coral rubble. Rarely seen in the trade and considered a poor choice for aquariums as it appears only to eat live coral polyps in captivity.
