Range: Central Pacific Ocean: Hawaiian Islands, Johnston Atoll, Tuamotu Islands, Society Islands, Samoa, and Marshall Islands


Size: up to 6.5 inches (16 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit exposed reef areas subject to surge at a depth of 6 to 150 feet (1 - 45 m)


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists of coral polyps, algae, worms, and hydroids. Requires a variety of meaty frozen foods with numerous feedings per day. Provide caves and much coral rubble. Difficult to feed, rarely seen in the trade, and probably better left in nature!
