Species Name: Chaetodon paucifasciatus Ahl, 1923
Range: Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Size: up to 5.5 inches (14 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit rubble areas on reef flats at depths between 10 - 100 feet (3 - 30 m) and covers large areas in search of food
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists of live corals, worms, gorgonians, crustaceans, and algae. Requires a variety of meaty frozen foods with numerous feedings per day, along with some algae in its diet. Provide caves and much coral rubble. Should not be kept with other 'Pearlscales' such as C. mertensii. Can be kept in small groups of three or more.
