Range: Indian Ocean: India to Oman


Size: up to 7 inches (17 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabits deep reefs from 45 to 250 feet (15 - 80 m)


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 74 - 82°F (23 - 28°C) and natural diet consists of coral polyps, algae and crustaceans. Requires an enriched meaty diet with some algae, and numerous feedings per day. Shy, and will eat feather dusters. Provide a rocky environment with numerous open caves and coral rubble. Rarely seen in the trade.
