Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Australia, Lord Howe and Pitcairn Islands
Size: up to 8 inches (20 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits coral reefs with dense coral growth and areas where algae exist in rocky areas at depths between 10 - 50 feet (3 - 15 m)
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists mainly of coral polyps, algae, and benthic invertebrates. Requires a variety of enriched frozen foods (meaty and algae) which can be supplemented with flake foods with numerous feedings per day. Considered a poor choice for aquariums.
