Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Philippines - Indonesia region, and the Indian Ocean


Size: up to 6.5 inches (16 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit shallow areas over rich coral growths from 10 to 50 feet (3 - 15 m)


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists of live coral polyps, gorgonians, tunicates, worms, and crustaceans. Difficult to acclimate in the aquarium as their natural diet consists 'mostly' of coral polyps. Requires a meaty diet and numerous feedings per day. One to an aquarium as it can be quarrelsome with its own species.
