Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Philippines, Australia, New Guinea, Palau
Size: up to 5.5 inches (14 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit deep drop-off areas in depths between 50 to 250 feet (15 - 80 m)
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists of live coral polyps, tubeworms, and small crustaceans. Requires an enriched meaty diet with numerous feedings per day. Not aggressive towards other fishes and should be maintained in dimly lit aquariums. Hardy, and adapts well to aquarium life, yet not readily available.
