Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Australia and New Guinea
Size: up to 5 inches (12 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore shallow coral reef and river mouth areas at depths between 15 to 50 feet (5 - 15 m)
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists mainly of coral polyps and some algae, yet accepts a wide variety of foods in the aquarium. Requires a variety of enriched frozen foods (meaty and algae) which can be supplemented with flake foods with numerous feedings per day. Provide a rocky environment with numerous open caves and coral rubble.
