Range: Southwest Pacific Ocean: Australia and New Zealand
Size: up to 7 inches (17 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky and coral reefs at a depth of 10 to 80 feet (3 - 25 m)
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 66 - 75°F (19 - 24°C) and a subtropical species requiring a cool water environment. Has a diet consisting of benthic invertebrate. Rarely shows up in the trade and requires a meaty diet with at least two or three feedings per day. Provide a rocky environment with numerous open caves and coral rubble. Better left in the wild.
