Range: Central Western Pacific: Indonesia to Solomon Islands, Philippines, Great Barrier Reef, and New Caledonia
Size: up to 3 inches (7 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit small holes inside rocks and coral at depths between 3 to 30 feet (1 - 10 m)
General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 75 - 79° F (24 - 26°C) and natural diet consist mainly of zooplankton and benthic crustaceans. Easily maintained in the aquarium and good eradicator of small bristle worms. Feed meaty/freeze-dried foodstuffs. Excellent reef aquarium fish, yet aggressive. Will attack members of its own species. Known to accept flake foods.
