Range: Western Central Pacific: Malayan Peninsula to the Philippines
Size: up to 2.5 inches (6 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit small rocky caves and coral growths at depths between 30 to 130 feet (10 - 40 m)
General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 75 - 79° F (24 - 26°C) and their natural diet consists mainly of zooplankton and benthic crustaceans. Aggressive, even to damselfishes! Will attack members of its own species. Probably better kept with larger fish as it can be quite aggressive to fishes its size and smaller. Feed enriched meaty/freeze-dried foodstuffs. May eat small shrimps and attack small fishes. Think twice before putting this in a reef aquarium!
