Species Name: Pseudochromis fuscus Müller & Troschel, 1849


Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: India to northern Australia


Size: up to 4 inches (10 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit shallow coastal lagoons, seagrass beds and areas beneath corals. Occur at depths between 3 to 90 feet (1 - 30 m)


General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 75 - 79° F (24 - 26°C) and natural diet consist mainly of zooplankton and benthic crustaceans. Easily maintained in the aquarium and good eradicator of small bristle worms. May eat small shrimp. Feed meaty/freeze-dried foodstuffs. Captive bred. Excellent reef aquarium fish and will also accept flake foods. Captive bred.
