Species Name: Pseudochromis aldabraensis Bouchot-Boutin, 1958
Range: Indian Ocean: Gulf of Arabia, Gulf of Oman to Pakistan, and the Aldabra Islands
Size: up to 4 inches (10 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit small caves and crevices at depths of 3 to over 60 feet (1 - 20 m)
General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 75 - 83° F (24 - 28°C) and natural diet consist mainly of zooplankton and benthic crustaceans. Easily maintained in the aquarium and good eradicator of small bristle worms. Feed enriched meaty/freeze-dried foodstuffs and one feeding per day should suffice. One male per aquarium except in very large aquariums, as they may fight among themselves. May eat small shrimps, attack small fishes and may eat small tubeworms. Captive bred and readily available. Probably better kept with larger fish as it can be quite aggressive to fishes its size and smaller.
