Range: Western Central Pacific Ocean


Size: up to 3 inches (7 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit small caves and crevices


General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 72 - 75° F (22 - 24°C) and natural diet consist mainly of zooplankton and benthic crustaceans. Feed enriched meaty/freeze-dried foodstuffs and one feeding per day should suffice. They are far too aggressive to be kept with fish its own coloration, size or smaller. Even though it's safe with corals, it's not safe with tubeworms and shrimp. One male per aquarium except in very large aquariums. The male can be accompanied by one or two females. Better kept with larger fish.
