Species Name: Congrogadus subducens (Richardson, 1843)
Range: Western Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean
Size: up to 18 inches (45 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit coral and rubble bottom areas
General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 75 - 83° F (24 - 28°C) and their natural diet consists mainly of benthic crustaceans and small fishes. Easily maintained in the aquarium. Feed meaty/freeze-dried foodstuffs. Will eat small shrimps and/or small fishes. Requires a covered aquarium!
