Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Delagoa Bay Mozambique to Sri Lanka, Philippines, and Australia
Size: up to 12 inches (30 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit coastal reefs between depths of 30 to 100 feet (10 - 30 m) and sometimes found under jetties in harbors
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 77 - 82°F (25 - 28°C) and natural diet consists mainly of crustaceans, sponges, tunicates and some algae. Need a varied diet and numerous feeding per day. Popular aquarium fish that needs ample hiding places and prefers live food. They are quite territorial and can become destructive with age.
