Species Name: Genicanthus watanabei (Yasuda & Tominaga, 1970)
Range: Australia-New Guinea region
Size: up to 6 inches (15 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit deep rocky areas and often collected at depths between 200 - 300 feet (60 - 70 m)
General Husbandry: Feeds mainly on zooplankton and small benthic invertebrate. Provide a diet high in meaty foods, yet will accept some flake food. Requires numerous feedings per day. Two males will fight - male has black side stripes, females don't. Since this is a deep-water specimen, tank lights should be somewhat dimmed.
