Range: Hawaiian Islands
Size: up to 8.5 inches (22 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit shallow rocky areas and collected at depths between 60 to over 200 feet (20 - 60 m)
General Husbandry: Natural diet consists mainly of algae and zooplankton, and prefers a temperature of 66 - 78°F (19 - 25°C). Not known for its longevity in the aquarium and infrequently seen in the trade. Difficult to wean onto prepared foods, juveniles are best, and may soon be available as captive raised. (C.
