Species Name: Genicanthus lamarck (Lacépede, 1802)
Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to the Philippines, New Guinea, and Indonesia
Size: up to 5 inches (12 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit open water areas well above the bottom, between 30 to 160 feet (10 - 50 m)
General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature of 77 - 82°F (25 - 28°C) and feed on plankton. They make good aquarium fish, although restless and shy. Need a varied diet and numerous feedings per day.
