Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Tahiti and the Cocos-Keeling Islands
Size: up to 7 inches (17 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit outer reef drop-off areas at depths between 150 to 250 feet (45 - 75 m)
General Husbandry: Open water plankton feeder and has a wide temperature range of 70 - 82°F (21 - 28°C). Reef safe, females are preferred, as wild caught males are not hardy. Even though the female may change into a male in the aquarium, it will have a better long-term survival rate. Rarely collected.
