Species Name: Amphiprion sandaracinos Allen, 1972
Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Northwestern Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, and northward to the Ryukyu Islands
Size: Up to 5 inches (12 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit lagoon and outer reef areas
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 77 - 82°F (25 - 27ºC), and accepts a wide variety of foodstuffs, e.g. mysis shrimp, fortified brine shrimp, various meaty diced fish and shrimp flesh, and Spirulina flake. Should be fed a few times per day. Best kept in pairs. Host anemones in the aquarium appear to be: Heteractis crispa, and Stichodactyla mertensii. Captive bred. Should be among the first fishes to be added to the tank. When possible, choose captive-bred specimens as wild caught specimens often come down with Brooklynella hostilis (Clownfish disease).
