I've known both Marc and Karen Weiss for well over ten years and have personally visited the Weiss businesses in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. With Marc's decision to focus only upon new product development, Karen is handling the day-to-day Marc Weiss Company activities and also starting a new company, Weiss Organics, which is totally dedicated to 100% Government Certified Organic aquatic products.
The approach to go 100% Government Certified Organic is overdue in my opinion and Karen should be complimented for going this direction as too many other aquatic supplement companies use the less expensive and often less effective inorganic approach for their products. The inorganic approach is outdated thinking in my opinion, as the organic approach is the way Mother Nature handles the situations in the wild and our aquaria. So why not be in tune with Mother Nature instead of circumventing her!
And I must add that agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), which have their seal on every product item, along with the Organic Trade Association (OTA) say this direction for aquatic products is far overdue! I heartily agree! And note, every product label states exactly its ingredients. Something rarely seen in the pet industry!
Since I have proprietary information on the purpose of each and every 100% organic ingredient, I can highly recommend giving these products a try in your aquarium. They may be just what your system needs to 'naturally' establish a more microbial balanced system.
