Leatherjackets for the Marine Aquarium

No, we’re not talking about the U.S. Marines, but about those ‘marine fishes’ belonging in the Order Tetraodontiformes and Suborder Tetraodontoidei as members of the Family Monacanthidae (Filefishes). It consists of, depending upon sources utilized; about 31 genera containing approximately 105 species, with most hailing from the Indian and Pacific Oceans, with some also found in the Atlantic Ocean as well. They share this suborder with triggerfishes, trunkfishes, puffers, tobies, porcupinefishes and burrfishes.
