Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea and the northern end of the Gulf of Aqaba and the Persian Gulf.

Size: 5 inches (11 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral reefs and lagoons and usually found at depths between 6 – 50 feet (2 – 15 m) where it feeds on zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
