Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea to South Africa and Pakistan.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow sandy and rubble bottoms in lagoons and protected seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 20 to 150 feet (6 - 45 m) where it feeds mainly at benthic invertebrate and small fishes.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.

FYI: Shown here for identification only, yet should it become available in the trade, aquarium husbandry is similar to P. schauinslandii.
