Range: Indo-West Pacific: India and Sri Lanka to Tonga, also Southern Japan and Great Barrier Reef to Marshall Islands and Samoa.

Size: 9 inches (24 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and rubble bottoms in lagoons and on seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 10 to 150 feet (3 - 45 m) where it feeds mainly at benthic invertebrate and small fishes.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.

FYI: Shown here for identification only, yet should it become available in the trade, aquarium husbandry is similar to P. schauinslandii.
