Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Indonesia and western Australia to New Caledonia, and north to Southern Japan.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral reef edge areas where it forms groups at midwater levels and feeds on zooplankton.

    Suborder: Percoidei

    Family: Caesionidae

    Genus: Pterocaesio

FYI: Unsuitable for the home aquarium.
