Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Brazil.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow coral or rocky reefs at depths between 3 to 50 feet (1 - 15 m) and feeds on zooplankton, benthic invertebrates and algae.

General Husbandry: Quite drab, with adults having a brownish black body, and juveniles lighter in coloration with bright spots on the head, a dark blue eyespot edged in bright blue on thr upper rear body, and a similar spot on the upper caudal peduncle.

Not collected for the hobby.
