Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Philippines south to Indonesia, and also from the Solomon Islands to New Caledonia.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits soft bottom areas and coral outcrops in lagoons, harbors, and coastal reefs at depths between 6 to 50 feet (2 – 15 m) where it feeds mainly on planktonic crustaceans (copepods, mysis, and shrimp larvae), fish eggs, and algae.

General Husbandry: Somewhat unattractive, having a silverish body.

Not yet collected for the hobby.
