Range: Indian Ocean: Maldives to Indonesia.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits seaward reef slopes and sheltered coral reefs along upper slopes at depths between 6 to 50 feet (2 – 15 m) where it feeds mainly on planktonic crustaceans (copepods, mysis, and shrimp larvae), fish eggs, and algae.

General Husbandry: Quite drab, having a brown body, white pelvic, anal and caudal peduncle.

No aquarium husbandry exists for this species.
