Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea south to Madagascar and east through the Maldives, Sri Lanka and India to the Andaman sea Islands and Western Australia, north to Southern japan and throughout the Indo-Malayan region to Vanuatu.
Size: 2 inches (7 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits the spines of Diadema setosum and Acanthaster planci urchin’s. Usually found at depths between 3 – 50 feet (1 – 15 m) where it feeds on crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.
General Husbandry: Has a dark greyish body, with a white spot aft of each dorsal fin, and a several narrow blackish stripes on the body. As of 2016, not collected for the trade.
