Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Singapore, Java, Borneo, Philippines, Moluccas, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Palau.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow lagoon, estuaries, tidepools and mangrove areas and hides most of the day and usually found at depths between 3 – 85 feet (1 – 25 m) where it feeds on small fishes, crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a pale grey body with numerous brown spots. As of 2016, not purposely collected for the trade.
