Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: New Guinea and Palau.

Size: 2 inches (5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore reefs, lagoons, and estuaries and found among seagrass and rubble. Usually found at depths between 6 – 50 feet (2 – 15 m) where it feeds on crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a somewhat transparent brownish pearl-like body with a red stripe from the snout to the eye and several vertical red stripes on the mid-body. As of 2016, not normally collected for the trade.
