Apogon

Apogon fukuii

Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Chagos Islands and Japan.

Size: 3 inches (9 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits deep protected rocky reefs and usually found at depths between 100 – 200 feet (30 – 60 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a silvery body with a dark spot on the caudal peduncle. As of 2016, not collected for the trade.
