Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Christmas Island in the eastern Indian Ocean to the Tuamoto Islands, north to Southern Japan, south to Rapa.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits protected reef flats, lagoons and seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 10 – 65 feet (3 – 20 m) where it feeds during evening hours on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Has a pinkish transparent body with its second dorsal spine quite tall. As of 2016, not yet collected for the trade. However, should it become available, its aquarium husbandry would be similar to that of A. angustatus. Simply open that species to view those recommendations.
