Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and Gulf of Oman south to Natal and east to the western Pacific; also Japan to the Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore ledges and rocky areas or coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 30 feet (1 – 10 m) where it feeds during evening hours on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Has a whitish body with several narrow horizontal dark brown bands. As of 2016, not yet collected for the trade. However, should it become available, its aquarium husbandry would be similar to that of A. angustatus. Simply open that species to view those recommendations.
